Tug Boat line free artwork leaves me all at sea.
It's not too often I delve into younger readers titles, so often I find it tricky to think how to approach them. (You'd think it'd be easier..poppycock!) The first thing is I realise how much I depend on key lines. I use them like scaffolding to hold the image together. Whip these away and I almost panic! So completing a series of bright colourful spreads for a publisher in this clean vector style (a combination of Illustrator and PS) was initially a challenge. But funny how once the dust has burnt off the brain, things begin to come together. By the end I absolutely loved working these up...perserverance is always the bloomin'ticket.
